History

nadicom was founded in February 2002 by PhD biologist Dr. Bernhard Nüsslein in Marburg. Since then, the company, as a spin-off of Max-Planck-Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology, provides services in the fields of identification of microorganisms and applied microbiology.

In 2002, nadicom won the innovation award for its business concept awarded by the start-up initiative "Science 4Life". Since its foundation, the company has steadily increased its turnover and number of employees and expanded in September 2005 to its new laboratories and offices in Karlsruhe.
 
Since June 2007 our Irish partner Genetic Detection Ltd. supports us in serving the British and Irish market.
 
In 2008 our laboratory achieved the GMP certification from the Regional Council in Tuebingen, Germany.
 
In 2009 we launched the ITS database for our successful software package tree by nadicom.
 
Our classification database for microorganisms fybase by nadicom was presented in 2010.
